About Us

The Holbrook Mortuary is part of a three-generation family owned and operated business since 1941. The owner, John Holbrook, is the 5th child born to L. Dale and Beverly Holbrook. John earned his Eagle Scout Award, graduated from Olympus High School in 1977. John graduated from Cyprus College of Mortuary Science with an Associate of Science Degree and a Mortuary Science Degree. John was awarded the Scholastic Achievement Award for scholastic excellence and the Roslin R. Ragsdale Award for outstanding student leadership. John married Sandy Cochran Holbrook in 1981. Sandy graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting as well as a Master in Professional Accountancy from the University of Utah. They have four sons; Austin, who earned his Eagle Scout Award, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the local University and also his MBA degree at Cornell University in New York; Austin married Heather Heyman in July 2011; Chad, who earned his Eagle Scout Award, graduated from the local University with a Business Finance degree; Hayden, who earned his Eagle Scout Award, is working on his business degree at the Universtiy; Logan, who has earned his Eagle Scout Award and is enjoying his schooling, community events and sports, and church programs.

Our funeral home is a family owned and operated business. We are large enough to give our families the very same service as the largest funeral home, yet we are small enough to insure that each family receives the level of personal attention and care they deserve. 

We understand that you may not be familiar with planning and arranging funeral services, so we make ourselves available to assist you with all aspects of funeral planning. We can also help you with applying for insurance benefits, social security and veterans benefits when applicable. We will insure that all details are addressed in a timely and professional manner so you will not be concerned about them.
