Beverly Cleone Butterworth Glade, the 11th and last child born to William Levi Butterworth and Eliza Ellen Howick in Salt Lake County April 16, 1924 passed away on March 10, 2017 in her East Mill Creek home after a valiant struggle with heart failure and age. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Vern, and a great-grandchild Maxwell Chase Mathews.

She was an early graduate of Granite High school and remaining forever a Farmer.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Pam (Tony) Wuthrich, Scott (Claire), Dennis (Denise) and Jeffery (Rachel), her 23 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Beverly married James Vernon Glade Jr on July 8, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple. Vernon soon left for service in WWII. Returning to his bride three years later, Beverly was holding their daughter Pam, anxious to meet her father.

She was a dedicated room mother for children's classes at Sherman Elementary and served as president of the PTA for several years during the fifties. She spent several delightful years as a docent at the Church Museum. She took care of newborns for Salt Lake County. She loved the Relief Society where she ran the gamut of assignments ranging from pianist to president. With her husband, she fulfilled a Service Mission to Welfare Square demonstrating the skills that had amassed over a lifetime of problem solving.

She was a great grandmother. She became the "Muzzer" to three generations of adoring children. She was a serious cook. Her chocolate cake with white fluffy frosting was legendary.

Having spent most of 93 years within a two mile radius of her East Millcreek home, she was at peace with herself and world. She rarely complained or found fault with others, opting instead to love her family, support her friends and preparing to "graduate" to the next phase of her existence.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 2:00pm at the East Mill Creek 2nd Ward, 3750 South Hillside Lane (2600 East), where friends and family are invited to visit 12:30-1:30pm prior to the service. Interment will follow at Elysian Burial Gardens. Guestbook to post messages and tributes for the family is available at: www.HolbrookMortuary.com

We would like to thank all those who kept “Muzzer” in their prayers and the sweet kindnesses that kept her spirits up and her gaze toward heaven as here spirit prepared to rise up and greet her family and friends.

She was fond of saying that she looked forward to the reunion with Vern, so she could "ruin his good time up there”.
