She and her three siblings grew up playing in creeks, sledding down 45th South in the snow, and farming with their parents. She graduated from Olympus High School and went on to study at BYU. She worked many years at Freed’s Auto Sales where she met the love of her life, John. She married John F. Anderson in September 1973. They were later sealed for eternity In the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She is survived by her brother John, children: Julie Garlick, Richard (Jennifer) Garlick, Roger (Rhonda) Garlick, Michael (Tammi) Garlick, Christy (Gary) Rogers, Scott (Angelle) Anderson, Cindy (Dave) Castleton, Tracy (Ed) O'Sullivan, Troy (Kat) Andersen, Laurie (Lane) Lythgoe, 53 grandchildren, 114 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Lucky.
Carol worked at OC Tanner for over 20 years and after retirement volunteered at the Intermountain Medical Center and the Jordan River LDS Temple.
She had a love for service and for making new friends wherever she went. She stayed active and busy throughout her entire life. Being a grandmother gave her so much joy. She never missed giving a birthday card (often including a $2 bill) and enjoyed attending special events. She was the heart and soul of her family. She was so loved. We will miss her dearly.
