Carol Cox Crane passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 6, 2016 in her home in Salt Lake City.  She was born November 13, 1925 in Manti, Utah to Edward P. and Ruby Dyreng Cox.  She attended schools in Manti, Nephi and at Brigham Young University.  She married her high school sweetheart and best friend, James H Crane in the Manti LDS Temple, September 2, 1947.  They have shared 68 years of life together and had a very special relationship.

Carol was an active member of the LDS Church.  She served in various church callings in the Imperial 2nd Ward.  She served 16 years as a Church Service Missionary.

Mom felt her most important accomplishment was her family.  The greatest monument to her life is her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She always had ice cream and cookies in the freezer waiting for the kids to arrive.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; daughters, Marilyn (Greg Wood), Karen (Milton Watts); 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jane Cox; and brother, Douglas Cox (Evelyn). She was preceded in death by her brother, Ed Cox; sister, Virginia Webster; and daughters, Kathleen and Sharon Crane.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 10, 2016 at the Salt Lake Highland Stake Center, 2738 S Filmore St (1450 E), Salt Lake City, Utah, where a viewing will be held from 9:30am to 10:30am prior to services. Interment:  Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.  Guestbook to post messages and tributes for the family available at: www.HolbrookMortuay.com

In lieu of flowers we invite you to make a donation to the LDS Missionary fund in Carol’s name.
