Dawn Morgan Delvie passed away peacefully at her home in Salt Lake City on September 15, 2016 at the age of 89.

Dawn is predeceased by her parents, John H. Morgan, Lucille Morgan, Merin Morgan and her husband, William F. Delvie all of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Dawn is lovingly remembered by her devoted family, sisters Helen M. Leech (94), Erma Todt (91), brother John H. Morgan (92), her son John W. Delvie (Shauna) and their children Lisa (Brady), Ryan (Lexi), Kevin and great grandchildren Jack, Charlie, and Liam of Salt Lake City; her daughter Cheryl (Jim) and their children Kristen (JJ), great-grandchildren Emily and Sam of Maui, and grandson Michael (Dana) of Eugene, OR.

Dawn was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 1, 1927. During WWII she was proud to serve her country as a female welder. She married William F. Delvie January 16, 1948. She worked at Holy Cross Hospital as a Pink Lady for years when her family was growing and then enjoyed traveling the world with her husband Bill multiple times as their family grew older.

Dawn was an avid reader and her astute mind absorbed knowledge and wisdom from her love of politics, psychology, literature in general and baseball! Above all she gifted her family and friends with a remarkable authenticity and unconditional acceptance that we hope to emulate.

Dawn’s request was to have a private memorial service. She also wanted to have a gathering of family and friends. An open house to celebrate Dawn’s life will be held Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Dawn’s home, 3800 South 2780 East, SLC. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Huntsman Cancer Center.
