In loving memory of our beloved mother and wife, Delight, 93, formerly of Salt Lake City, Utah passed away April 24th at her home in Yuma, Arizona, surrounded by her husband and family.

Delight was born January 13, 1923 in Naperville, Illinois to George W. and Delight (Keenan) Millikin.  She was the third of four siblings who have all preceded her in death.  Samuel Millikin (MIA WWII) and her recently departed sisters, Arliss Hogue, 90, and Dorothy King , 96, who both passed away this year.

Delight was married to Albert W. Duffield and Melvin J. Riding who both preceded her in death.

Delight’s greatest joy was her family.  She gave unconditional love to each of them.  She loved to watch all sports, play card games, and go to the Casinos to gamble—which she was very lucky at.

She won the grand prize on the TV game show; The Price is Right, with Bob Barker who said that she was a “Delight”.  She joined the Salt Lake City Chapter #92 of the Women of the Moose in 1956.  Her accomplishments include:  Academy of Friendship Degree in 1959, College of Regents Degree in 1964, and Deputy Grand Council Member 1973-1975.  She received a Lifetime Achievement Award.  She made many donations to Mooseheart Charities.

Delight married Ray L. Thomas on October 6, 1990 in Las Vegas.  Blending their families together they have 10 children. Delight’s children: Thomas Duffield (Marlene), Idaho; James Duffield, Robert Riding (Carol), Utah; Nancy Arehart (Gary), Nebraska; Jaylene Boyer (Michael), Utah; John Riding, Idaho. Ray’s children: Craig Thomas (Janet), Utah; Bruce Thomas (Jody), Utah; Terry Thomas (Cathy), Idaho; Pamela Christy (Kim), Utah. They have 36 grandchildren, 101 great-grandchildren, and are expecting one great-great-grandchild.

The family wants to extend our appreciation and gratitude to the Hospice Compassus of Yuma, Arizona.

In lieu of flowers, please make a charitable donation to: Mooseheart International, 155 S International Dr., Mooseheart, Illinois 60539-1180.

She was surely a “Delight”
