Bishop and Family, the Jacobsens send their deepest condolences. Helen was a sweet person, always incredibly amiable and gentle. I'll miss walking down the street and saying hello.

Dear Bruce, David and I were so very sorry to hear of Helen's passing. We were unable to make the funeral services due to some recent surgery, but our thoughts and prayers have been with you. It has been our prayer that Heavenly Father will bless you with peace at this very difficult time and the ability to endure. We appreciate your friendship and the great example both you and Helen have been.

Miss Helen taught three of my kids when she was a 3-yr-old pre-school teacher at Crestview Elementary. My daughters are now all 20 or older, but they still sing the songs Miss Helen taught them, and they have their snack placemats tucked away with their other sentimental things. Miss Helen was a fabulous teacher for the kids and a great example to young parents of how to teach and love their children. The world is a better place because Miss Helen was in it.

Dear Tricia and family, I am so sorry for the loss of your sweet mother. It has been many years since I have seen her, but I remember her kind heart and genuine love for people. She had a smile that made you feel at ease and comfortable being yourself around her. What a wonderful mother she was! I often think of my dear college roommate and remember the laughs we had. There were so many good times! I miss you and love to get a glimpse of your darling family from your Christmas card. You are in my thoughts and prayers at this time! I wish i could have come in person to the viewing, but we have our Spring break and are out of town. May God continue to bless you and your family! Lots of love!----Jenn

Sending heartfelt sympathy to Bruce and the Smith family. I have known sweet and calm Helen since she moved into Rosecrest Ward. We carpooled to the U in the late sixties.
I enjoyed catching up on her life when I was in Salt Lake visiting family. How wonderful to hear her testimony in December.
May you be comforted by many warm memories of a truly good woman.

I was so sad to hear of the passing of Helen. She was one of my Young Women leaders growing up. I greatly admired her. She has such a calm nature about her. She was there when I needed an ear. We laughed, talked, and cried together. Her saying to me was, "hang in there". I loved when she would ask me to babysit Tricia, Stacy, Sterling, & Stephen. We played games, laughed, & read stories. You are so blessed to have as your mother.

To the Smith and Holbrook families with love and sympathy. Helen had a special place in my heart. She will always be one of the most kind, gentle, and humble people I know. She was a great example to me during an impressionable time of my life. May the Lord be with you. Love, Janet.

Oh, Bishop Smith. I am so sad to see this and want you to know how much I have loved both you and your dear wife. Your sacrifice, goodness and (always) kindness were such a wonderful blessing to so many as you served as the Bishop in the Singles ward. All my love to you and your family. You are so loved and I will always be so grateful to have known you both! Hugs to you and yours!!

Thank you, Helen, for all the ways you blessed the Towers family...Through the love you showed us yourself, and through the great family you helped raise. My mom frequently told us how much she cherished your friendship, and you always took time to say hello to me and show interest in my life whenever I happened to visit the home ward. Thank you for your love and your example. You will be missed!
