Janet Ruth (Jenson) Racine

Janet Racine, age 87, passed away January 27, 2016 from a rare form of cancer.  She was born September 2, 1928 to Ferris and Gretta Jenson.  Married Don J. Racine July 7, 1949 and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. 

      Mom lived for family, family history, politics and HGTV.  She was proud of her 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren and they were crazy about her.  Janet was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and she had a strong love for our Savior.  Mom also loved flower gardening and her Pinocchio collection.  We will miss her wickedly funny sense of humor, her determination to always share her opinion and her loving parental guidance whether asked for or not.  

      Janet is survived by her loving husband Don, and her children:  Dana (Bryan), Leigh (Todd), and Doug (Dianne).

      Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 11:00am at the Valley View 12th Ward, 2125 East Evergreen Avenue.  A viewing will be held on Sunday evening, January 31, 2016 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East and from 9:30am to 10:30am at the church prior to services.
