Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother Judith “Judy” Allred Engh, 74, passed away on September 1, 2016 with the family that she dearly loved by her side.  She was born October 14, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah to DeMar Parkinson Allred and Betty Ruth Jenkinson Allred.

She attended East High School, and was a proud Delta Gamma at the University of Utah.  She married Dennis Steven Engh in the Salt Lake Temple on July 11, 1963.

Judy was known for her kindness to all.  She never judged others and made friends everywhere she went.  She was absolutely honest and in fact, could never, ever tell a lie.  She was without guile and fiercely loyal and protective of those she loved.

She deeply loved her husband and her family, and had a great affection for little children, and animals.  She spent most days supporting her children and grandchildren and never missed a sporting event, dance concert, or dinner out with anyone who wanted to go.

Judy was fun and funny, and was never afraid to laugh at herself.  The “Judisms” she leaves behind have left a lasting imprint on the memories of her children and grandchildren, and will bring laughter, peace and comfort for years to come.

She was a faithful  member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and in later years spent time volunteering with her husband at the Utah State Prison expressing her concern and love for those in need.

Judy is survived by her husband Dennis, and her children: Heidi Rockwood (Frank), Heather Barney (John), Holly Kingdon (Greg), Darin Engh (Melissa), Amy Rich (Matt); 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and her sister Sue McDonald (John).

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holladay 3rd Ward located at 4568 South Holladay Blvd. Friends can visit with the family on Tuesday evening 6:00–8:00 p.m. at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, or at the LDS church Wednesday morning 9:30–10:30 a. m. prior to the service.  Interment will be at the Holladay Memorial Cemetery.
