Julian "Duke" Edward Ferguson

Julian Edward “Duke” Ferguson passed away peacefully at home on October 4, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. The youngest of 9 children, he was born in Lyman, Wyoming on May 25, 1934 to Isaac Clyde Ferguson and Daisy Ione Shelton Ferguson. He married Joy Arlene Eastman on September 5, 1952 in Woods Cross, Utah.

Duke was a loving husband and father, and the most honest, hard-working and grateful person we know. He was a truck driver by profession, and a mechanic at heart. His family never had to call a repairman or mechanic. If he didn’t know how to fix it, he got a book or went to the internet and figured it out!

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joy; children, Steve (Judy), Julie (Robert), and David; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by his son, Clarence “Ted”, and grandchildren Melissa and Matthew Ferguson.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 2:00pm at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, where friends and family can visit prior to the service at 1:00pm. Guestbook to post messages for the family available at: www.HolbrookMortuary.com
