Larry B. Hanks passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. Born, February 20, 1942 to S. Bruce and Cavell Hanks in Salt Lake City, UT. Graduated from Olympus High School, and attended University of Utah, where he met his sweetheart, Susan Quayle. Served an LDS mission to the Eastern States 1961-1963. Larry grew up in Mt. Olympus, was an Eagle Scout. Loved the mountains, fishing, snow skiing, and golfing.  He had a zest for life, and always had a positive outlook. His sense of humor was contagious and he endeared himself to people wherever he went.  He was always grateful for the kindness that others showed him, especially the many caregivers who served him.  He was a salesman extraordinaire, developing properties in Bear Lake and the Round Valley Golf Course in Morgan County, and working with his brothers as a National Sales Representative at Bridgepoint Systems. Larry and his redhead Suzie shared 50 years of marriage. Together they raised 5 daughters, who he affectionately named the “5-H club”.  He is survived by his wife, Susan; daughters, Hillori Hansen (Bret), Heidi Lindsay (Dave), Holli Reid (Shane), Haylee Romrell (Craig), Hannah Kaupert (Kinzer); 10 beautiful grandchildren; sister, Jill Heyes (Edward); brothers, Robert Hanks (Wendy), Gordon Hanks (Jane), and David Hanks (Korby). He is preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, Wyatt Douglass Romrell; and his four-legged friend, Henri “little pudge-wudge”.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 11:00am at the Valley View 3rd Ward, 1925 East Gundersen Lane (4140 So.), where friends and family are invited to visit Friday evening 6:00-8:00pm and Saturday morning 9:30-10:30am prior to the service.
