My heartfelt sympathy to each of you.  No other pain will ever be greater than the pain of losing a child. Our heavenly Father knows the difficulities you are facing. Through his Word he helps us to understand why death occurs and what he will in the near future  to rectify the grief that we undergo due to losing our loved ones to this aged-old-enemy (death).

Dear McDowell Family and Julianne and Shel,

I am so very sorry for your loss. Know that people love you and although I didn't know Marisa, I know your family and she must have been an amazing woman. Julianne and young Noah there aren't adquate words. So sorry. -Cori

I never met Marisa. But based on this beautiful testimony of her life, I be I would have loved her. Christine, I am so sorry for your loss. She was lucky to have such a wonderful family and loving mother. Below is a poem that has helped me get through the loss of my loved ones. Sending you so much love and hugs.

"THE ROSE STILL GROWS BEYOND THE WALL"

Near a shady wall a rose once grew,
Budded and blossomed in God's free light,
Watered and fed by morning dew,
Shedding its sweetness day and night.

As it grew and blossomed fair and tall,
Slowly rising to loftier height,
It came to a crevice in the wall,
Through which there shone a beam of light.

Onward it crept with added strength,
With never a thought of fear or pride,
It followed the light through the crevice's length,
And unfolded itself on the other side.

The light, the dew, the broadening view
Were found the same as they were before;
And it lost itself in beauties new,
Breathing its fragrance more and more.

Shall claim of death cause us to grieve,
And make our courage faint or fail?
Nay! Let us faith and hope receive:
The rose still grows beyond the wall.

Scattering fragrance far and wide,
Just as it did in days of yore,
Just as it did on the other side,
Just as it will for evermore.
