When I saw MaryAnn's obituary it brought a swell of wonderful memories. She was the queen of party's and always was a welcoming influence growing up in Holladay. My thoughts are with you all as you go through the emotional roller coaster of celebrating a life well lived and the hurt and pain that comes with her loss. Love to you all!

I read of your mother's passing and am truly to know that I will not see her smiling face again in our office. I can just imagine her reunion with my brother . . . Love to you.

Your Mom and I were best buddies when we were young and in the same ward in Cottonwood. We were quite the performers as your Grandmother Irene was very talented at putting things together, so we were dressed alike with braids and pinafores and sang a song called "I don't want to Play in Your Yard." We were so good we sang at programs all over Holladay.
I saw her at our last class reunion just as she was leaving. We talked about our fun times performing and growing up in Cottonwood. She was a wonderful person and good friend.

Although my son didn't have your mom for Kindergarten, I worked closely with her for many years at Parkside Elementary and enjoyed my association with her immensely. She was tough, yet loving, with her students...and as stated in her obituary, she taught them many values that will last them throughout their lives. She was an excellent teacher and very artistic - always doing cute art projects and had such a darling classroom set-up. As her children, you can be proud of your mom! May fun and sweet memories of her sustain you through this difficult time.

We grew up in the same neighborhood of the Cottonwood Ward and knew the Staples family well. (I even babysat your Mother when she was a young girl!) We enjoyed so many wonderful times and experiences with your family.
Time passes so fast, but memories stay with us - hold on to them, enjoy them, share them with your children.
We send our love and sympathy during this difficult time of mourning.

Mrs. Clements was my kindergarten teacher! I loved her so much. Even though it's been many years since I've seen her, I have thought of her often and hope she had a wonderful life.
**Teaching 5 year olds for 30 years puts her right at sainthood!
Sending you, her family, my condolences on losing such a great woman.

Gretchen, so sorry to hear about your mom! My mom passed 11 months ago, and it is still hard. I feel for you, girl! Know I'm thinking of you, and sending peaceful thoughts your way.

Mary Ann was my childhood friend as we both lived in Holladay and spent a lot of time together. I remember jumping on her bed in the basement of her house and looking out the window to see if anyone was watching. I am sad at her passing but know she has suffered a lot in the last few years. I love you Mary Ann.
