Our kind and gentle father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle passed away peacefully on February 22nd. His last hour was one of his most peaceful, quiet hours of his life; with his family present he transcended into the arms of an angel.

Bobby was the middle of three children born to Alphonso Boley Greene and Helen Norene Greene on September 21, 1949. In 1970 Bobby graduated from Skyline High School in Salt Lake City. Robert was married to LaDonna McIff on March 27,1970, later divorced but will meet in heaven once again to dance the night away. They had three beautiful children Darrin Greene Sr., David Greene & Pamela Greene Howe.

Bobby had a passion for cars since he was young. He worked with and admired the beauty of cars just as his father did. He loved to dance, ride motorcycles and drink Diet Coke. He was known as the tall, handsome guy who is really sweet! Anyone whom ever met him said “He is the kindest man.”

Bobby was preceded in death by his mother, Norene Greene; father, Fon Greene; sister, Debra Black; and brother-in-law, John Robert Stokes, Sr.

He is survived by his children, Darrin (Amy) Greene Sr. of Manti; David Greene of Sterling; Pamela (James) Howe of Clinton; his 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren….with more on the way!! Also a sister, Denice (Frank) Stokes Briggs; a niece and 7 nephews.

Family and Friend’s may visit Monday, February 27, 2017 from 9:30-10:30am at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City, Utah 84109. Graveside service to follow at Murray City Cemetery at 11:00am. Messages and tributes for the family can be posted at: HolbrookMortuary.com

Special thanks to the staff at Green Gables and Avalon Care facilities for taking such great care of Bobby and being family to him.
