Sergey Davydov

Sergey Davydov passed away peacefully in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 1st, 2021 at the age of 72. Sergey is survived by his family: Tamira, Victoria, Marina, Joe, and his three grandchildren.

Sergey was born on November 9th, 1948 in Baku, Azerbaijan to Michael and Tatyana. He attended Yerevan Automotive Engineering Institute before his mandatory service in the military. After marrying his wife Tamira in 1974, he continued to live in the USSR as an automobile mechanic until he emigrated to America in the early 90’s. After moving to America, he worked various jobs to support his family's transition to American life.

Throughout his entire life, Sergey was always extremely altruistic and openhearted. Whenever times were tough, Sergey was always there to guide his family and friends in the right direction, often taking matters into his own hands to both mentor and safeguard his loved ones. Despite encountering many difficult challenges, he always had an overwhelming zest for life that he radiated to everyone around him. His dedication to hard work, perseverance, and family were the guiding principles he instilled in his daughters and grandchildren. 

A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 1:30pm at the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to visit Friday evening, April 2, 6:00-8:00pm and also Saturday 12:00-1:00pm at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, prior to the graveside service. The graveside service will be recorded and will be made available to watch on Sergey's obituary page at HolbrookMortuary.com, the recording will be available Saturday evening and will remain on the website for 90 days.
