Our loving mom, grandma, sister, and friend, Adri Ann Odell Christensen passed away peacefully April 23, 2017 surrounded by her family.  Mom was born July 24, 1936, the daughter of Adrian William Odell and Alta Rothada Kerr.  She was raised with three loving sisters who adored her.  Mom married her high school sweetheart Bud Dean Christensen on June 25, 1954 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.  She worked side by side with her husband to build a family business in the early years of their marriage. Their time was also spent playing cards with friends. Together they raised eight children, who were the light of their lives.

Spending time with family and building memories were some of her most precious times.  Mom created many family traditions that will be carried on and cherished for generations to come.  She loved her grandkids with all her heart and made each one feel special.  Mom enjoyed time with family at the cabin at Bear Lake.  She loved sports and supporting the Utah Utes.  She dedicated countless hours coaching young women and made a huge impact on so many lives.  Mom opened her heart and home to everybody and many considered her a second mom.  Mom loved pets and her loving companion, Koda, who was always by her side.  Mom will be remembered for her ability to connect with people.  Throughout her life, she was able to show an unconditional Christ-like love to all. Even though the effects of Alzheimer’s progressed, mom still had the ability to express her love. Mom had a great love for her Heavenly Father and she knew she would be with her family forever. Thank you mom for being a great example and all you have done for us.  We love you!

Adri Ann is survived by her eight children, Russell (Debra), Chad (JoAnn), David (Holly), Doug (Debbie), Michelle (Michael) Funk, Carrie (Robert) Kelsey, Jason (Cynthia), Missy (James) Morse; sister, Patty Denhalter; brothers-in-law, Ralph Kramer, and Derek Short.  Adri Ann has 31 grandkids and 34 great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by her husband; her parents; sisters, Colleen Zobell and Sharon Breitenbauch; and granddaughter, Adrianne “Annie” Ursula Christensen.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017, 11:00am at the Canyon Rim Stake Center, 3051 South 2900 East.  Friends may visit with the family on Sunday evening from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and also at the church on Monday morning from 9:30am to 10:30am prior to the services. Interment: Mt. View Memorial Estates. We would like to thank the staff at The Ridge, Canyon Creek, Encompass Home Health, Heartwood Home Health, Brighton Hospice and Dr. Farrukh for their loving care of our Mom.
