Ann Elizabeth Gibby Meadows

Ann Elizabeth Gibby Meadows died March 13, 2017 after a courageous battle with breast cancer in Salt Lake City, UT at the age of 76.

Ann is survived by her husband, Jacob Kyle Meadows; children, Anthony Hugh Meadows and Lee Travis Meadows both of Salt Lake City; siblings, Daniel Holland and Lela Holland Barber. Ann is preceded in death by her daughter, Dorothy Ann Meadows; her son, David Kyle and her sister, Patricia Holland Allen.

Ann was born on February 13, 1941 in Salt Lake City, UT to Dorothy Elizabeth Foster and Vermont D. Gibby. She graduated from West High School in 1958. She married Jacob 'Kyle' Meadows in 1959. Kyle and Ann met in beauty school; married soon after and welcomed three sons and one daughter into their lives.

Ann was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a very accomplished homemaker and an exceptional cook. The family especially loved her desserts. Ann loved plants and her greenhouse. She won several awards for her orchards and bonsai's. Ann also loved pets. The family always had pets in the house as a result of her love for animals. Ann was passionate about equal rights and was very outspoken on equality for all.

A funeral is scheduled for Friday, March 17, 2017 at 11:00am at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, where friends and family are invited to visit from 9:45 to 10:45am prior to the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ann's life. Interment will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family would like to thank CNS Hospice for their attentive care.
