Arden Stott Clegg passed away peacefully on January 5, 2018.  He was born in Heber City, Utah on August 11, 1924 to Mable Stott and Fred W. Clegg.

He was the youngest of four children and had many wonderful childhood experiences.  He lived and worked at Bridal Veil Falls as a young boy, helping his parents run their restaurant. His playground was the beautiful falls, where he spent his days with his best friend, his dog Tip.  Later, he attended South High School and in his senior year enlisted in the army to serve his country during World War II.  He was a true patriot his entire life, and when thanked for his service it always brought tears to his eyes.  He married Nadine Eccles and had one daughter (Sharon Barber) later divorced.

Upon his return from wartime service in France, he met and married the love of his life, Kathy Price.  They were soul mates from the beginning.  Together, they fished, golfed, and played on many bowling leagues. Mom supported Dad as he coached little league baseball for years. After he retired from Sears, they loved to travel to warmer climates during the winter in their motorhome with good friends.
Dad was a fun-loving, compassionate, involved Father and Grandfather who took his children and grandchildren on many memorable vacations and made every special occasion more fun.

The family wishes to express their utmost gratitude to the employees of the Beehive Home in Syracuse and Harmony Home Health who provided the best care possible and treated us like family. We have such fond memories of our wonderful Dad and will miss his sense of humor, his generosity and his example of gratitude. One more of the “greatest generation” has departed.

Dad, your love and devotion to each member of your family will be your legacy. We love you, Dad!

Arden is survived by his four children, Sharon (Bruce) Barber, Lori (James) Michoff, Kim Clegg, and Shelly (Byron) Goates and 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 12, 2018 at 11:00am at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, where friends and family can visit 10:00-10:45am prior to the service. Interment will follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Guestbook to post messages and tributes for the family available at: HolbrookMortuary.com
