Clarence Dee Hadley passed away on July 8, 2018. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 30, 1932 to Clarence Barton and Bessie Fay Neville. He joined the US Navy and was on the USS Haven Hospital ship in the Korean War. He married Marilyn Rae Taylor out of High School. They had four children. Dee worked after the Navy for Chicago Bridge & Iron, Chevron Oil and then started his own business, Hadley and Sons. He loved to work and was known for his hard-working ethic. He was then divorced after 37 years of marriage and married Grace Bert. She passed away and he then married his current wife, Patty Justet. Dee was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Dee is survived by: wife, Patty of West Jordan; children, Susan (Terry) Ernstsen of Salt Lake City, daughter-in-law, Beverly of Riverton, Scott (Cindy) of South Jordan, Michelle (David) Bills of West Jordan; step-kids, Tony (Sara) of West Valley City, Troy (Nicki) GA, Tammy (Gilbert) Benavides of West Valley City, Tina Justet of CA, Traci (Eric) Lemle of Ogden; and his 96 year-old sister, Myrtle Hauser of West Valley City. Preceded in death by his son, Michael Dee 1 yr ago; mother and father; half-sisters, Lorna and Lavon; sister, Thelma Hadley; and brother, Marvin Hadley. Dee had 13 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 13, 2018 at the Westland 2nd Ward, 7171 South 2700 West, West Jordan. Friends and family may visit on Thursday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church on Friday morning from 9:30am to 10:30am prior to services. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Drive. The family would like to thank the staff of the VA Nursing Home, the staff at St. Mark’s Hospital and Patty for taking care of our Dad.
