Donna Fullmer Obituary

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend Donna Richardson Fullmer passed away July 22, 2018 at her home in Millcreek, Utah surrounded by family. Born March 25, 1921 in Benjamin, Utah to George Weslie and Pauline Isabella Richardson. She was the oldest of 11 children, seven brothers and three sisters, whom she loved dearly. The family was very close and Donna always felt a special need to watch over them, right up to the end. Growing up on a small farm, she learned the value of hard work. Donna attended Benjamin Elementary, Spanish Fork Jr. High and Spanish Fork High School. She received a small scholarship to attend Henagar College of Business. Following graduation, she began working for the Grazing Service. She eventually held positions with the Bureau of Land Management, Immigration and Naturalization, Administrative Assistant for the U.S. Attorney, and finished out her career as an office manager for the U.S. Postal Service. Donna was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and cherished her service in her ward. She always considered herself to be “Spiritually Blessed” while serving in the capacities of Primary Teacher, Sunday School teacher, Den Mother, Young Women’s counselor in both the Ward and Stake, Gospel Doctrine instructor, Ward Relief Society President, and always a visiting teacher.

In 1947 she met a real “charmer” Clem Fullmer on a blind date. They fell in love and were married in the Salt Lake Temple on September 5, 1947. They have been blessed both physically and spiritually. This year would have marked their 71st year together.

Donna is survived by her husband and four children, Gregory (Marcia), James (Stephanie), John (Patty) and Juli Anne (Allen, deceased); 30 Grandchildren (including spouses); 35 Great Grandchildren; brothers, Thomas Richardson and Larry (Lana) Richardson; sisters, Patricia Fullmer (Bryan, deceased) and Pauline (Maurice) Baliff.

Preceded in death by her parents, father-and mother-in-law; brothers, Paul, Stan, Sterling, Lynn and Brent; sister, Betty; and grandson, Jacob.

Donna (Mom), you have been an incredible example to those who knew you. Despite being challenged with innumerable health issues in your later years, you met life’s challenges head on. You never gave up, you remained passionate about life (including politics) and most important, you endured to the end, remaining valiant to the cause. We will miss you and we love you.

The family would like to thank the care givers at Danville Senior Services, IHC Hospice and Encompass Home Health and Hospice for the exceptional care they provided to Mom.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday July 28, 2018 at the East Millcreek 9th Ward, 3750 South Hillside Lane (2400 East).
