I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. Please accept my warmest sympathies. I knew Bob through our association in the South Central Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies. We hosted the conference together in SLC in 2010, and I last saw him this past February at the same conference. He will be missed. He was absolutely one of the kindest and most gracious individuals in our profession, and his presence at our conferences is one of the main reasons I looked forward to attending each year.

We were so saddened to hear the passing of Bob. He was truly a giant of a man.. Bob was always such a kind man. Every time we drove down the street he would wave. Bob was always happy, He always had a story or a quip and would make you laugh. He was always dressed sharp !! I loved his Bolo Ties. Bob and Sharon have always been so kind and welcoming and had great respect to all people that crossed their path. I was privileged to be their home teacher for several years. It was always a pleasure to visit in their home. I know Bob Loved God and will be blessed in the eternities .. Bob was a great patriot he loved his country.. A man of great literary talent. I am Happy to have a signed copy of his book on Wallace Stegner.. Bob was a true gentleman and a man of Character,, But most of all he loved Sharon and was proud of his family !!
