When I heard of Elaine's passing, a deep sadness filled my heart. She was such a special lady -- always cheerful, happy, supportive and interested in what was going on in the lives of those she was around. She always had a hug and squeeze of the hand. I am grateful I had the opportunity to get to know her better these last few years as I drove her to and from church and to the beauty parlor. I gained such an appreciation for the incredible life she led. 3350 South and Valley View 6th Ward will truly miss her bright smiling face and her sweet spirit.

I want to also tell you what a wonderful funeral service the family provided today. The tributes to your mother and your obvious love for her was evident in Valerie's, Dan's and Sylvia's talks. What a wonder posterity she has left behind.

We were so blessed to be Elaine's visiting and home teacher. We are very grateful for the opportunity we had to visit with her and feel of her love. She was always cheerful and fun to be around. She always expressed how much shes loved her family and being a grandma. We will miss her dearly.
