Eunice was greatly beloved by our family (as was her brother, W. Glenn Harmon, Jr., who pronounced Patriarchal blessings for my parents and I). Eunice was a great example for the youth of the Oakland 5th Ward. She opened her home to firesides and always paid attention to all of the youth. Her husband, Bill, was a powerful intellect and a gifted speaker. Eunice was always kind, interested, involved and charitable. We still treasure the hand embroidered temple aprons that she gifted us for our temple wedding. I still hold a warm, living letter that she wrote me, upon the occasion of my father's death (while I was serving in the Western Canadian Mission) in November 1973. We are grateful for her cheerful life devoted to serving others.

We have been friends since Oakland 4th Ward days, early 60s, so we know the delightful, fun person your mother is. We picture her skipping down the hill toward the outstretched arms of our Savior. And laughing. Oh, so glad to be home. May you rejoice along with her.

Dear Eunice "survivors",

The image of a whirlwind came to mind as I was thinking about Eunice. What a bundle of energy she was and had to be in her earlier years to have raised such a wonderful family (much of it on her own) and be involved in so much.

Eunice was close to 20 years my senior in the long array of cousins, so in my childhood she was immersed in a host of activity I didn't have a clue about. But as the years passed I came to know and appreciate how she could engage with all of us at any level. I loved her quick wit and her awareness of all her "Uncle Dean's" family and her needing to be kept on all our news. I loved her, and all the Harmons contributions to the song and dance of the Boyack Reunions. We always had lots of original "music" showcased at each of the reunions, but we could always tell which had the Harmons' stamp of wit and originality..

Her faith and testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ always has meant a great deal to me, especially during some of those wandering years many of us go through. She left a wonderful progeny, whom we also love with all our hearts. You are all in our prayers.

Thinking of all of you today in the loss of your mother, grandmother, sister, friend and to me a very special cousin. Eunice did so much to strengthen the ties of the Boyack family and her dedication will live on and be greatly appreciated for years to come. It's good to know that she has such a wonderful family to comfort each other at this difficult time. Loving wishes to you all.

Eunice is a name that reminds me of strength, courage, kindness, service, joy, and love. Her essence was all of these and more. I hope to be like her some day. Her name and all that she continues to be in heaven is blessed. Our prayers and love always, Charlotte and Rick Hutchins
