Evalynne "Nina" Dunn Grundvig peacefully passed away on June 3, 2019. She was born in Salt Lake City, UT on September 22, 1938 to Leon James Dunn and Evah Inez Trejo Dunn. Nina was the third of four children. She was born and raised in Salt Lake City until the time she married Clifford Severin Grundvig on July 19, 1975 then moved to Vancouver, WA. She continued to live there until her husbands death in 1987. Nina moved back to her childhood home to be with her Mother and as her caregiver until her Mothers death in 1999 and moved to the Friendly Neighborhood Senior Center in Salt Lake City where she resided for the last 20 years. On April 18, 2009, she was able to be sealed for time and all eternity to her husband Clifford in the Jordan River Temple. She did not have children, but always told her niece Josie and nephew James that they were like her own.
Nina had so many wonderful friends and neighbors whom she dearly loved and cared about. One of her biggest enjoyments in life was to be among so many wonderful friends and one of those friends, Millie, became her best friend for the last 18 years. The other was to be with her family and go on shopping trips and running errands together. She had quite the talent for knitting and embroidery and never missed a Lunch or Bingo day in the dining hall. She also collected many knick knacks and kept every gift that she received from friends and family to remember them by as every one of them meant so much to her.
The family would like to thank the Friendly Neighborhood Staff as well as IHC Medical Center for caring for our Aunt Nina.
Nina is survived by her Nephew; James (Ashlee) Schwartz, Niece; Josie (Mark) Syphus, Niece; Tina (Dana) Casseday, Niece; Kelley Wixom, Niece; Tracie Truth, Niece; Sheri (Kirk) Ebert, Nephew; Jared Dunn Jr, Nephew; James (Marianne) Dunn, Sister in Law; Shirley Dunn and many great nieces and great nephews.
