Jennifer Brown Obituary

Jennifer Marie Brown died on October 8, 2018. She was born to Evelyn Anderson and Gregory Garn Brown on March 2, 1990 in Sandy, Utah.

Jennifer graduated from Horizonte High School. She also took a number of college courses in art history and botany. She loved the emotion of Goya. She thought of eventually pursuing a career in botany. She was able to get jobs easily. The job she loved the most was the last one at ARUP Laboratories which she held for the past three years. Many of her friendships developed from her work there.

She clearly showed an interest at a very young age for the man who would be the love of her life: Troy Arnason. Finally coming together was life changing for both of them. They were extremely happy when Luke was born. Being a mother became a primary joy in life and a source of tremendous pride. Her feelings of protectiveness throughout her life made her a fearless "Mama Bear".

She had a love for all things horror. There were horror books, movies, dressing up in bloody-looking clothes and daily watching of a horror movie with Troy in the month of October to prepare for Halloween. But underneath this scary exterior was a vulnerable, loving and sensitive girl. She could be dressed at times in white lace or pinks. She could enjoy sparkles and flowing sun dresses. Her favorite daily clothes were comfortable pants, a roomy sweater and fuzzy socks. She would defend the weak: both humans and animals. This love for animals often had her spending entire evenings watching animals. She had a family membership to both the Hogle Zoo and the aquarium. Her favorites were the penguins, spiders and snakes.

She deeply loved her parents and siblings. She was wounded by the recent death of her father Greg. She had so many fun one-on-one grocery and restaurant runs with him as a child. She loved drives in the canyons with those she loved. She was always up for adventures and convinced her friends and family members to take-it-to-the-limit thrills. Always anticipating the next adventure, her favorite destination was Tokyo, Japan where she was planning to return to soon. She was generous and fun, eclectic and unpredictable, silly and loud.

She will be missed by all who knew her.

Jennifer is survived by her partner, Troy Arnason; son, Luke; mother, Evelyn Brown; siblings, Bradley (Rachel), Kris (Samantha), Alex, Holly and Max. She is reunited with her father, Gregory, who passed away just three weeks prior.
