I had the pleasure of meeting Macoy on Temple Square in 1982 when i was a student from Germany traveling the USA and we spent an hour together maybe, I went on my wonderful 2 months holiday. I will never forget his pleasant and warmhearted attitude how brief the encounter may have been.. Today I was cleaning out old books stored in a moving box and I came across this little Book of Morman which he gave me (I did not remember) and inside it had his business card and a hand written dedication from Macony dated 14 August 1982.. I remember him being about my current age back then so I just googled Macoy. and I am so sorry that I am 2 years late. I would have loved to write him personally. Back then he was the senior partner of a law office, now I am the same in Germany. So I will cherish this little book with his personal words, hoping to have as many years ahead of me now that he had back then.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Macoy and Marjorie through Tien Pham and it was a blessing. Macoy taught the Religion class at the BYU Salt lake Campus and I was one of the lucky ones to learn form him. Even though our lives crossed for a brief moment, Macoy helped me through examples and demeanor that have lingered throughout these past 25 years. We send our condolences to your family and look forward to seeing Macoy again. With much love from the Tran family.

I had the pleasure of working at McMurray, McMurray, Dale & Parkinson and got to know Macoy as a lawyer and as an outstanding humanitarian, dedicating his time and services to many. My heart goes out to the entire family, especially Rob (Ann) and Lynn who I worked directly with. Macoy lived a full and rewarding life.

Thinking of you, President and Sister Charlene from your friends in the Taylorsville YSA Stake. You will leave a legacy similar to your parents it seems. Our love and caring thoughts go out to you and your family. Sincerely, Frank & Jean Newton

I enjoyed knowing Macoy but knew his brothers John, his wife Nancy and Steve as my neighbors in the South Highland Park Ward. Have loving memories of John, Nancy and Steve in my youth growing up. It was so wonderful to have such treasured friends. Friends like families are also forever. May the Lord bless you all in the loss of Macoy.

I was closely associated with Macoy in the 80's as I welcomed Cambodian refugees to Utah and served in the Cambodian Branch. Plus Say and Han May were my neighbors for 17 years.
I have such sweet memories of him and your mother. Sending love and condolences.

What a most special man! As my brother, Roger, already mentioned....Macoy and our father (Dean Larson) were forever friends since grade school. This special friendship between these two has always touched my heart. I know of no other friendship that has lasted so long and been so special and strong. Our family loved Macoy and so appreciated his love for our father. Sending thoughts and condolences to all of his family. (On another note, quite some time ago I found out that my dearest friend knows your family from living in the same ward with Macoy--Janene Ludlow). What a small world and such a wonderful world with special friends!!

What a wonderful man! I knew only a part of his inspired legacy. Macoy was one of my fathers best friends which started when they were in grade school in Central Idaho. They stayed in contact throughout their lives. Macoy even visited my father weekly until his passing in 2015. I can only imagine the celebration from those who loved him so much on the other side. I'm grateful he is with his loving wife, family and friends. Reading all he accomplished and did for others in this life gives a glimpse of what he will do in the next. Please accept my heart felt condolences.

On behalf of all former and current members of the Salt Lake First Laotian-Thai Ward, we express our deepest condolences on the passing of our beloved friend, brother, uncle, and grandpa., Macoy was sent to earth to bless the lives of God's children. He has touched hundreds of thousands of lives all over the world-many of whom never had the privilege of meeting him in person. His love and kindness had no boundaries and colorblind. He genuinely loved everyone regardless of their ethnicity, skin color, or religious beliefs. The legacy of Christlike love and service that he left behind will continue to be felt and appreciated many years to come. Rest in peace and in the Lord, dear brother. We sincerely thank so much for you and Majorie have done for all of us. We also thank the Famiky for sharing your parents, grandparents and great grandparents with us. May the Lord's love and comfort be upon all of you during this time and always.
