A loving Father and Grandfather, Russell Howard Moss, 49, passed away at the University of Utah after an unfortunate, traumatic accident.
He was born in Utah on June 2, 1969 to Robert H. and Linda Rae Smith Moss. He spent his childhood in Montana. Russ graduated from Capital High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Weber State University.
He served a full-time LDS mission in Mexico from 1990-1992.
Russ moved to Utah and in 1993 married Tonya Neerings. Together they had two beautiful daughters, Aubri and Kayla. They later divorced but remained life-time friends.
He was a very generous, thoughtful person and always willing to help anyone. Russ enjoyed spending time with his daughters and granddaughter. He loved going to see movies.
Russ leaves behind two daughters, Aubri (Travis), Kayla (Andrew) and granddaughter, Shyla. He was preceded in death parents, and a brother, Robert “Bobby”.
A special thank you is extended to Terry for all the years of friendship and love they shared. We wish to also thank the staff at the University of Utah for the excellent care and compassion they provided to our Dad.
A private memorial will be held in his honor.
