BONNIE SUE HILLS TAYLOR
Our dear wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully on April 21, 2022, surrounded by loved ones after a short battle with cancer. The youngest of seven children, Bonnie was born in Salt Lake City on Easter Sunday, April 17, 1960, to Carl George and Ruth Welti Hills. She was often referred to as our Easter Bonnie.
Bonnie attended schools in Salt Lake and Manti, Utah. She graduated from Manti High School in 1978. She entered the medical field after graduating from the Bryner School and for the next 38 years used her amazing love and compassion for people as she worked with various physicians to help thousands of patients. She retired in 2018.
Bonnie was blessed with three children and was so proud of each one. She was a wonderful mother, full of love and wisdom. She was their guiding light. Her memory, example, love and wonderful spirit will forever serve as a compass for them to follow throughout this life.
Bonnie married the love of her life, David Taylor on October 13, 1992. They were inseparable for the next 30 years and were seldom seen apart. They bought an empty field in Manila, Utah (Flaming Gorge) and built their dream getaway together, board by board, spending many weekends and vacations there. She was looking forward to the day they could retire and live in Manila full time. David and Bonnie were able to travel to many places including Alaska, Montreal, Japan, and Korea.
Bonnie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her testimony was unshakable. She held many church callings that included service in Primary, Young Women’s, Genealogy, and the Nursery.
Bonnie lightened up every room she entered with her laughter, sparkling smile and fun, outgoing personality. She made the lives of everyone better and will truly be missed by all.
Bonnie is survived by her husband David; children Shane, Shanna, Steve (Myeong-seon) Foster; grandchildren Urim, Thummim and Dimer; siblings Kim (Kathy) Hills, Carl (Lori) Hills, Donna (Jim) Richards, Callie (Loren) Orcutt, Burke (Vicki) Hills, Jana (Jerry) Gray; and dozens of loved nieces and nephews whose birthdays she all remembered. She is preceded in death by her Father and Mother.
