Bradley Langston Obituary

BRADLEY RAY LANGSTON             12.22.1950 5.30.2022

Bradley Ray Langston was born in SLC, Utah on 12.22.1950 the first child to Ray & Mae Keller Langston. He passed peacefully on 5.30.2022 due to complications from surgery. Bradley was a good son and a great big brother to Alan & Edie. He grew up in East Millcreek on the Keller property, surrounded by family, where our Grandpa Keller told stories of ‘Cougarines and Bitchin Bounders’ mythical creatures that came out at night in the fields behind our house, to his very last day Bradley would never set foot in those fields at night! Bradley attended Sherman Elementary School, Evergreen Junior High, and Olympus High School. He made many lifelong friends along the way. He often spoke about how lucky he was to grow up where he did, and he fiercely defended all things Keller and Langston!

Bradley was a very talented athlete, he excelled at skiing, baseball and golf. Luckily, Ray was also a great athlete and quickly became his coach. Forming the ATS (Alpine Training School) program for ski racing. Bradley was lucky and got to race (along with Alan) all over the West. He was lucky enough to go to Alaska for a race and Vermont for the Junior National Ski Racing Championship! And he also was lucky enough to be on the U of U Ski Team. Baseball was also a big part of his life. Little League, Olympus High Baseball, American Legion and at the U of U. He loved the game so much that once he was covering 2nd base and got slid in to, broken kneecap, played the rest of the game!  But Golf became his passion later in life! He enjoyed many great days playing golf with Friends and Family! He had a great group of ‘Golf Buddies’! He also loved the family golf outings. He loved his time playing with the Mountain Dell Men’s Association. He played in many tournaments as well and always had fun. He was proud to have a hole in one on his record he got in Moab!

Bradley made is career in the Trucking Industry. He worked at several companies in Utah and retired from Legacy Logistics in North SLC, Utah. He made many friends along the way. He retired during Covid and was able to help take care of our parents, a job he did very well.

Bradley was a good and caring son, a great big brother and a good friend to many. He would be the first to call if a storm was heading your way or if there was a wreck on a road, he knew you travelled! (A trait he got from his mom!). He loved his family and always made sure we were safe and taken care of. He was a tease, he and Alan often conspired to terrorize Edie and it seems to come to mind a memory of a guitar being broken over someone’s head while we were young! We had FUN! But, if someone tried to pick on Alan or Edie, Bradley was our biggest defender! Our family had many happy times together in the mountains, on the golf course or just being together! We travelled to so many fun places thanks to skiing and our dad’s job, Sun Valley, Jackson Hole, Laguna Beach and Moab were just a few of his favorite places to be! In May of 2015 he was able to accompany Ray on the Utah Honor Flight, he was so proud to be able to accomplish this with our dad!

Bradley married Karen Manning, later divorced (deceased).

Bradley is preceded in death by his loving parents Ray and Mae, his grandparents and many relatives and friends. We know that there is a huge reunion going on! Bradley is survived by his brother Alan (Cherie) and his ‘Sis’ Edie. His also survived by his stepchildren Teri and Mike and his granddaughter “Spanky’ Bailey. His nieces and nephews: Mindi, Jenn, Angel, Christopher, Kurtis, Daniel, Brittany, Madison, Alex, Chance, Hailey, Harley, Carter, Eli, Oakley, Montgomery and Tony.
