Bruce Harold Lemmon, 69, of Morgan, UT, returned home to his Heavenly Father and is now free from pain. He passed away peacefully on June 5, 2023. He was born on July 14, 1953, in Salt Lake City, UT, to Milton Lawrence Lemmon and Caroline Green Lemmon. He married his sweetheart, Rebecca Greening Lemmon, on June 9, 1978.
Bruce was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served a mission in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Bruce was a man of great humility, always putting the needs of others before his own and never seeking recognition for his many acts of kindness. Bruce believed in the value of hard work and was committed to doing everything to the best of his ability. Bruce had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making dad jokes. He loved his family and spending time with them. He had a love of the outdoors – fishing and hunting. He was also a skilled woodworker and builder, pouring his heart and soul into every project he undertook.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Becky, his children Kimberly (Tad) Packer, Michelle (Matt) Hardman, Brittany (Cody) Weiss, and Michael Lemmon, his siblings Dianne (Kline) Carroll, Wayne (Christine) Lemmon, and Gale (Sue) Lemmon, and his 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Hunter Weiss.
A service to celebrate Bruce's life will be held on June 20, 2023, at Memorial Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, UT 84117. Viewing at 10:00 am and funeral to follow at 11:00 am. Bruce will be buried at Elysian Burial Gardens 1075 E. 4580 S. Millcreek, UT.
