Charlotte Taylor Easter

Salt Lake City, UT – Charlotte Easter passed away peacefully at home on March 28, 2021.  She was born March 22, 1941 in New York City to George Moroni Easter and Marian Taylor Easter.  In grade school on Long Island, Charlotte scored so high that she skipped a grade. She always got high marks in school and graduated from BYU with Honors in 1961.  In 1969 she followed her family to Salt Lake City where she lived in the family home in Millcreek for the next 52 years. Professionally she worked for AT&T and also as a professional genealogist, with a specialty in British and French-Canadian research.  Charlotte also did extensive research on her own family lines.

Her hobbies were watching old movies and favorite TV shows, reading, puzzles, gardening, and family history work.  The Utah Iris Society was especially near and dear to her heart. A gifted flower arranger, Charlotte won many awards at flower shows.

Charlotte was a life-long, faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Late in life, she served a mission at the Church Family History Center. 

She is survived by her brother George A. Easter, sister-in-law Michele Easter, and beloved nephews and their children.

The family wishes to thank her neighbors, friends and members of the Garden Heights South Ward who watched over her for so many years.  In recent times, Charlotte had some excellent health caregivers, especially her Visiting Angel Margie. 

Due to Covid there will be a graveside service for family and friends of Charlotte on Friday, April 2, 2021 at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 E. 4580 S., Salt Lake City, at 11:00 a.m.  Masks preferred.
