Connie was born in October 1945 in Coalville, Utah to Jett and Dorothy Wilde. She grew up in Kearns and lived most of her life in West Valley, in a home she loved. She was the third of seven sisters and had many funny stories of how her dad handled living in a one-bathroom house with eight women. She was married to her husband, Bob Lund for over 40 years. With their blended families they parented 5 children and always opened their home to anyone needing a place to stay. Connie loved gardening and knitting. She was always welcoming new babies with beautiful handmade hats and blankets. She also enjoyed good food, bread slathered in butter, coffee, and dark chocolate. Her greatest love of all was her grandchildren. She devoted much of her time to playing, baking and cuddling with them. They were her whole world and they loved her just as much in return. She really was the best granny ever. In addition to being the best granny, she was stubborn, tough, always willing to listen and give advice, and had the best laugh. We will miss her terribly. While we are heartbroken to not have her here with us, we are at peace knowing she is no longer suffering.
She is preceded in death by her parents and three sisters. She is survived by her husband Robert Lund, their children, Lamar (Schelley) Blair, Loreena (Chad) Parkinson, Bernadette Blair-Marchesani (Hyrum Clark), Michael Lund, Daniel (Akela) Lund, 16 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, grand pup and three sisters. Internment will be at Bountiful City Cemetery, date TBD.
