Danielle Sue Speckart, age 49, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025, in West Jordan, Utah. She was born on November 30, 1975, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Samuel Philip and Lola Ogden Speckart.
Danielle was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. From an early age, she faced life with courage and resilience, having been diagnosed with developmental disabilities, autism, and bipolar disorder. Despite these challenges, Danielle brought joy and light to those around her with her kind spirit and gentle heart.
She attended Hartvigsen School, where she received a specialized education tailored to her needs. Later, she participated in the Work Activity Center’s day program, where she found routine, community, and purpose.
Since late 2016, Danielle lived in residential care settings, including the past seven years at GOAL Homes, where she was cared for with compassion and love.
She is survived by her parents Samuel Philip and Lola Ogden Speckart, siblings Annette (Bryant) Eastham, Brian (Hannah) Speckart, Richard (Katie) Speckart, Sean (Erika) Speckart, and Scott (Laura) Speckart. Along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Not to mention numerous supporting people and care givers who have become like dear family members.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Verl and Esther Ogden, Frank and Mabel Speckart, and niece Clara Speckart.
Danielle will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her life was a testament to strength, perseverance, and the quiet power of unconditional love.
Services for Danielle will take place on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ward on 2675 East 4430 South, Holladay, Utah with a viewing 1 hour prior. There will be an evening viewing on Thursday, October 9th, from 6-8 PM at Holbrook Mortuary 3251 South 2300 East, Millcreek.
