Eloise Goodyear passed away on July 30, 2024, at the age of 98. She was born January 29, 1926, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Thomas W. and Florence Baker. She graduated from West High School and attended Henager Business College until she was employed for 50 years at Elias Morris & Sons Co. as an office manager and Vice President. Eloise continued working for another 20 years for Noel Williams Construction Specialties. She received the 2012 Distinguished Lifetime Service Award presented by the Utah Credit Union Association for 57 years of service as the President of Emsco Credit Union.
She served in many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and felt so grateful to serve. She loved the Lord. She loved her family and all those Sunday dinners with them. They all brightened her life. She married in October 1946 and was later sealed in 1968 to her husband, Harvey Goodyear. Harvey passed away in July 1995. Several years later, she married Elden L. Moenning in October 2007. He passed away in August 2017.
She is survived by her daughter Susan Marietta (Jack), grandchildren Jeffery Mott (Melissa), Jordan Mott (McKenzie), and Jason Mott (Natalie), bonus grandchildren Derek Holbrook (Lacey) and Chris Marietta (Jen), stepdaughter Marsa Stokman (Wilbert), and eleven great-grandchildren Eloise, Madeline, Abigail, Porter, Crew, Jack, Conrad, Gideon, Brandon, and Finley Mott.
She is welcomed to heaven by Jennifer Holbrook, granddaughter, and Theodore Mott, great-grandson, and many dogs and cats.
Services will be held on Tuesday, August 6th, at 11:00 AM, with a visitation one hour prior. Family and friends may visit on Monday, August 5th, from 6-8 PM at the Olympus Stake Center, 2675 East 4430 South, Millcreek, Utah. The interment will take place at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
