Obituary

Eva May Lietz

1960 - 2023

Eva May Lietz was born November 13, 1960 in Newfoundland, Canada, to Eva Joan Westerman and Paul Penrose Lietz. Eva passed away in the early hours of February 13, 2023 in Provo, Utah surrounded by her family after a long term struggle with declining health conditions.

Eva was the highlight of the party. Her unwavering positive energy, contagious smile, and creative personality attracted everyone from near and far. She lived for adventures with family and friends, whether it be exploring forgotten cemeteries, ghost hunting in abandoned buildings to rock hunting in remote areas (usually getting them lost in the process), Eva would always smile and laugh her way home! She loved making crafts and going thrift store shopping with her daughter. No matter the occasion, she always had a smile on her face and was there to help anyone in need. Eva was a loving mother and grandmother and thought being a grandmother was the greatest gift in the world.

Eva is survived by her daughter, Chanelle (John) Quibell/Stirling, grandchild Jayden Stirling and siblings, Joannie (Ron) Lyman, Pauline (Kurt) Heaton, Fern Lynn (Vance) Dent, Paul (Sakhann) Lietz, Jacqueline (Richard) Palmer, Sister in-law Misty Kendall.

Eva’s parents, Eva Joan Westerman and Paul Penrose Lietz, Partner Benne Lavon Quibell, and brother, Bert Lietz,  all preceded her in death.

Her daughter, Chanelle, and family encourages everyone to pay their respects and celebrate the life of Eva Lietz at 2pm-5pm on Saturday the 25th of February 2023 at the Holbrook Mortuary located at 3251 South 2300 East in Salt Lake City.
