Glenn Eugene Stone

November 28, 1927 ~ February 7, 2020 (age 92)

Obituary

Our beloved Father, Grandfather, and Grandpa Grape passed away February 7, 2020 after a valiant battle with stage 4 cancer. Glenn Eugene Stone born Nov. 28, 1927 to Glenville Jollow and Elva Madge Reid.

Glenn graduated from South High School and subsequently served in the US Navy, including the Korean War. He married Rose Helen Burningham in 1951, later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised 5 children.

He spent the rest of his career working at Hill Air Force Base for 40 plus years as an electronic engineer working on the F-series fighter jets, and the minuteman missile system. He had great leadership skills and his employees highly respected him. He loved his carpool visits with his friends at Hill.

Dad/Grandpa you have left such a great legacy to your family. You have lived a great life and always tried to do your best by striving to be an incredible and honorable son of your Heavenly Father. Thank you for always being so supportive to each and every one of us. We will miss your stories, your teasing, and your love. We will miss our daily jaunts to get your Diet Coke and bringing you cheeseburgers and fries. We will miss seeing you strut your stuff wearing your stylish cowboy hats, cowboy boots, and leather jackets. And we will miss your gorgeous hair!

We find peace in knowing of the joyous reunion you are having with loved ones in Heaven. We find great comfort in knowing we will see you again.

Survived by his children, Pam Stone Wells (Scott), Glenn Stone (Carla), Mike Stone (Ilene), Cindy Stone Dolan, Scott Stone (Kim); 22 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and his sister, Susan Stone Porter.

Preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Madge; his loving wife, Rose; grandson, Scotty; and sister, Faye Jean Goodrich.
