Jeffrey Dean Walker

October 17, 1963 ~ December 17, 2020 (age 57)

Obituary

Our kind hearted “Walker”, Jeffrey Dean Walker passed away from cardiac arrest as his big loving heart gave out on December 17, 2020 at his home in Salt Lake City.

Jeff was born October 17, 1963 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Melvin Dean Walker and Bonnie Annette Olson Walker. He married Lisa Hannalore Crippen in Park City, Utah in January 1982.

Jeff attended Canyon Rim Elementary School, Wasatch Jr. High and Skyline High School where he met many long life friends.

Jeff’s career was as a Contracted Master Electrician in the private and commercial industry.

Jeff enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and boating at Echo Lake with Dad. He was as happy as can be when Mom was his Cub Scout Den Mother and planning his birthday parties. He participated in Little League Baseball and transferred his knowledge in the enjoyment of coaching his sons,  JJ and Chris in baseball, soccer, and basketball.

The tradition of exchanging Dad’s old cuff links every year at Christmas will be missed. He loved animals of all kinds and enjoyed many lovable pets throughout his life.

Walker was happiest when riding his Harley “Sally”, hanging out with his family/friends and his Lep family. His favorite saying was, “Go On, Git!”.

Walker was an outstanding cook and enjoyed cooking full course holiday meals, family get togethers, BBQ’s parties, Defas Ranch camping trips for the whole gang, and everyday comfort meals.  His sons plan to carry on his tradition of cooking skills and famous recipes. He cultivated his cooking skills at the Tiffin Room, ZCMI, in his early years.

Jeff was honored with a plaque from the Canyon Rim Citizens Association placed at Jeff’s childhood home on the corner of Metro Way and Valley Street at the entrance to Canyon Rim.

He enjoyed his home in East Millcreek with major enjoyment floating on a raft while watching TV with a cold beverage in tow and singing/dancing to Tone Loc, “Wild Thing” to his sons.  He loved to entertain guests with his generous hospitality and culinary skills.

He loved NASCAR (Rusty Wallace, Tony Stewart), Minnesota Vikings football team, Bonanza, Gunsmoke, and cooking shows.

Throughout the years Jeff was known in chronological order as Jeffrey Schneffrey, Chauncey, Chow Chow, Walker Dog, and Walker which most know him by.

Survived by his sons, Jeremy Jeff (JJ) Walker, Christopher Michael Morley; granddaughters, Destinee Gwen Morley, Cadence Lavona Morley; brother, Barton Paul Walker; and many beloved cousins, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, childhood friends, biker family, and Lep family.

Preceded in death by father, Dean Walker; mother, Bonnie Walker; wife, Lisa Crippen; and beloved extended family members, friends, and pets.
