Josie Ann Jackson, 86, passed away January 24, 2021 at her daughter's home in Ogden, UT, surrounded by family.
She was born October 1, 1934 to Russell and Ocie Martin in Beaver County, Oklahoma. Josie married Theodore James Gibson on August 4, 1952, in Holton, KS. Together they raised four children; Phillip Joe, Phyllis Jean, Denise Lynn, and Jenise Lou.
Josie was a hard worker; helping her husband build several homes, planting and maintaining large gardens, preserving food, and caring for animals on their farm. She was a loving mother and a great example of hard work and faith in the Lord.
After her divorce to Ted, she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah and for many years worked for the Church microfilming records. She met and married John Leonard Jackson on September 12, 1990. Their combined families include 8 children, 48 grandchildren, and 58 great grandchildren, all which survive her in passing.
After John's death in 2014, she lived with family and enjoyed many hobbies. She was an avid reader and never let a day go by without picking up her latest embroidery project and giving it a go. She loved Colin Raye, PBS, and her "greatest joy" was eating out.
Josie is also survived by 3 brothers, Dwayne, Lloyd, and Bobby Martin and 1 sister, Carol Kuehl, all residing in Kansas. She was just a Kansas girl at heart. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
