Our blessed mother, grandmother, and friend passed away on February 25, 2020. Judith was dearly loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed. Judith was born on February 7, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Georgia Payzant Alder and Linden Benson Alder.
Judith loved music and enjoyed singing in her high school Acapella group, her ward choir and in the Messiah. Judith also was an accomplished pianist. She had a love for gardening and flowers. She loved to play tennis and golf, and hit two holes-in-one in her life. She was the “U” Newspaper Society Editor and a Delta Gamma while she attended the University of Utah. Judith became a school teacher and she talked fondly of her time teaching underprivileged children from the inner city. Judith also owned her own Real Estate Brokerage, Four Seasons Real Estate.
On February 4, 1965 Judith married Kent Saxey, the love of her life, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together Kent and Judith were the parents of four children, 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way. She loved being a wife, mother and “grandma twirly”.
She was an Addiction Recovery Missionary for 11 years and a Family History Missionary for two. Judith loved people and has had dear friends by her side for many, many years, including those from her childhood, college, ward and “Study Group” She loved to serve and even in her final days, she was serving and loving the other residents in the memory care center where she lived. Judith was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and she loved the gospel with all her heart.
Judith is survived by her children Clark (Nicole), Brandt (Becky), Sasha (Ryan), Brittney (Dave), her grandchildren Sage, Cole, Aspen, Kayden, Skyler, Rachel, Danielle, Andrew, Matthew, Berkleigh, Cicily, Georgia, Boden, Ella and Eagan, her brother Doug Alder (Elaine) and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Georgia and Linden, two brothers and her sweet husband Kent.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 11:00am at the Holladay 25th Ward, 4650 South Naniloa Drive (2800 East), Holladay; where friends and family can visit Friday evening 6:00-8:00pm and Saturday morning 9:30-10:30am prior to the service. Interment at Kaysville City Cemetery.
