Our father, Lionel LaMar Drage, only lasted 52 ½ hours without our mother. He passed away December 2, 2022. He truly could not live without her. He was born December 19, 1925 with a healthy dose of humor, wit, perseverance, and intellect. He earned his Bachelors of Business at U of U, then MBA from UC at Berkeley in 1957. Always a hard worker, he flourished in business, built their first house in SLC, and built the “cherished” family cabin. He enjoyed every 71 years as beneficiary of “Joanie’s” cooking, doting, patience, and love.
They are preceded in death by their son, David, and survived by their children: Georgia and Buzz Fontana (Daughter and son-in-law), Mathew and LeDeen Drage (son and daughter-in-law), Nathan and Tracie Drage (son and daughter-in-law), Sterling and Christine Drage (son and daughter-in-law), Owen and Diana Anderson (daughter and son-in-law). Also survived by 26 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
There will be a public viewing December 17, 2022 from 4:00-5:30 to visit with family and friends – no service afterwards. East Millcreek LDS Chapel 3408 Celeste Way, SLC, Utah. Thank you so much to our mom’s treasured friends from the ward and neighborhood they lived in for 38 years. She loved you all so much!
