On a cold December 29, 1942, Marjorie Lucele Hill entered this world. Her parents were elated at their beautiful baby girl. She would soon become the older sister to five younger siblings.
She returned home on January 6, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Lucele Hill, her brother Dennis, and many other beloved family members. She is survived by her brothers Eddie, Dick(Charlotte), Jerel(Vickie), sister-in-law Stella and sister Clarice(Dale).
Marjorie spent her youth in Hatch, Utah among many cousins, aunts and uncles. Later her family moved to a farm in Gunnison, Utah. After graduation she went to school in Salt Lake and then to work for Mountain Bell Co., with computers.
After working all day, Marj would attend college in the evenings to earn her degree as a stylist. She enjoyed giving haircuts to her family, especially the nieces and nephews. After retiring from Mountain Bell, Marj worked for the State of Utah during tax season.
Marj was always happy. She would joke and say her bubble was a little off center, but she didn’t want to be normal like the rest of us.
Marj was the favorite aunt of her nieces and nephews. Many shared their special secrets with her, things they would only tell her and not their parents. The kids knew Aunt Marj was good for teasing and playing jokes on, and they never missed an opportunity to do so. Little did they know, Aunt Marj would plot her revenge and find a way to get even! She was a great big sister and friend.
Marj lived by these words:
Be positive. Always look for the upside. Accept people’s differences. Hate is a waste of energy.
