Paul Wilbur Scott

Paul Wilbur Scott, age 63, passed away on December 6, 2022 in Sandy, UT. He was born on September 9, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah to James Russell Scott and Joy Anna Wilbur.  

He married Cynthia Sue Lloyd on October 5, 1979; they later divorced. Paul and Cindi moved their family to Texas and remained friends after their divorce. They focused on raising their children, especially their autistic son, Jeff. Paul was a loving father who passed on his love of music, reading, and knowledge to his kids. He loved to tease and joke around with both friends and family. Paul was very involved in the LDS church while raising his family and leaves a legacy of generosity and service within his community. Paul’s kind heart, laughter and smile will be missed by all who knew him.  

He is survived by his children: Jennifer (Jason) Hulsey, Chelsie Scott; grandchild: Brendon Hulsey; siblings: Jamie (Michael) Kay, Elizabeth (Richard) Diamond, Russell (Jennifer) Scott, Angela (Steven) Johnson; and many beloved nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his parents (Russell and Joy), his ex-wife Cindi, his son Jeffrey Paul Scott and his niece, Savannah Joy Scott.  

Funeral Services will be held for Paul at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 4551 South 1200 East in Millcreek, Utah on Monday December 12, 2022. Services will begin at 12 PM with a viewing to be held on that same day beginning at 10 AM until 11:30 AM.  

Interment will follow the services at Elysian Gardens.
