Silviano Gardner Obituary

"Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier." - Mother Teresa

Sylvian Gardner, 79, passed away peacefully at home on January 25, 2021 with his Wife, Daughter & Granddaughter by his side; after many health struggles. He was born in Preston, ID on March 16, 1941 to Mildred Florez and Frank Lujan. His Mother later married Lamont Gardner in 1947 and in 1959, Silviano took the name Sylvian Gardner.

Silver grew up in Deweyville and Garland, Utah where he attended school at Bear River High until graduation in 1959. In 1960 he enlisted in the Armed Forces of the United States where he remained until he received an Honorable Discharge in 1973. A portion of his enlistment required him to be stationed in Germany and in his travels back, he met his first wife Irene. They moved to Utah and adopted 2 children together; Sylvia & Robert Gardner. He joined the National Guard after 1966 and received an Honorable Discharge in 1986.

During that time he met the love of his life, Judy Lee Thompson and they married on September 29th 1984. They've lived in California, Colorado and Utah and with each other and with his humor they got through anything. There isn't anything Judy wouldn't do for him and she remained by his side every step of the way.

Those who knew him knew he was full of jokes, stories and knowledge that always made you laugh. Anything to raise your spirits and create laughter was one of his greatest gifts. He loved to watch the News, Westerns and read the Newspaper religiously! He always had a warm smile on his face and a genuine happiness that could truly light up any room.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Gardner, his children: Sylvia Elona (Steven North) & Robert Gardner (Shannan); 5 siblings:  Cynthia M. "Cindy", Ronald, Toni, John and Stephanie, 5 Grandchildren & 8 Great-Grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews and extended family. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Father(s), 4 siblings; Desi, Mike, Randy and Tonya; a Great-Granddaughter; Grandparents and many others.
