Thomas Lee Durrant returned to his heavenly home on March 2, 2022 at the age of 91. He was born on August 2, 1930 to Thomas Henry Durrant and Norma Shaffer in his parent’s home in Franklin, Idaho.
Lee graduated from Preston High School and then went on a mission to Western Canada. He was drafted into the army during the Korean War and served in Germany in the Signal Corp. Lee graduated from Utah State University from the College of Business in Logan, Utah in 1958. He married Kathryn Marchant on December 29, 1958 in the Logan Temple.
He worked as a bank examiner for the FDIC before retiring. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings including 23 years as financial clerk.
He was a loving father to his 4 children, David, Debra, Douglas and LeeAnn. He was also blessed with 19 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Lee enjoyed spending time with his family and provided many fun activities including boating, hiking and traveling. He is best remembered for always being there for everyone unconditionally. He served others quietly without expecting any accolades. Lee and Kathryn served together in the Jackson, Mississippi Mission.
Lee is survived by his wife Kathryn, and his 4 children, David (Stefni), Debra (Mark), Douglas (Deb) and LeeAnn (Scott).
Services will be held at the Valley View 3rd Ward Chapel located at 1925 E. Gunderson Lane, Holladay, UT on Thursday, March 10th. The viewing will begin at 10 am with the funeral to follow at 11 am. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park located at 3401 S Highland Dr, Millcreek, UT
