Tiffany Anne Sampson Brimley was born November 13, 1978 in Walnut Creek, California and spent her childhood years in nearby Concord as well as two years in Adelaide, Australia where her father’s career took the family. She is the fourth of five children of Mark Thatcher and Jeanne Neff Sampson.
A couple of years after graduating from Clayton Valley High School, she married, became a mother, and later divorced. Tiffany loved learning and worked in several different career fields. She always strived to support her children and to continue her education along the way. With great sacrifice, she pursued her degree in Special Needs Education and received her degree in 2017. Along the way she married Daniel Kirk Brimley. She worked hard to blend her children and Dan’s children into one family and was an excellent mother to all of them. After earning her degree, she achieved her goal of becoming a teacher and began teaching middle school students. Tiffany was loved by her co-workers and students so much that she was honored as Teacher of the Year during her second year of teaching.
Tiffany was blessed and gifted with many strengths, talents, and a heart of pure gold that drove her to love and serve her family, friends, neighbors, and even people she did not know. She was always striving to find ways to ease the burdens of anyone in need. She had the gifts of patience, strength, and endless perseverance which she used to combat the many health challenges that afflicted her throughout her life. She bore all her challenges and trials with the strength and determination of a warrior. She did not complain. She did not give up. She lived each day with a smile, with a positive attitude, and with lots of laughter. She had a very quick-witted sense of humor that always brought immense laughter to everyone around her…gut-twisting laughter!
She carried a light within her that brightened the lives of everyone she met. The way she lived her life, the strength she showed in adversity, the always positive attitude, and the love and service toward others were contagious and were an example and inspiration to all who were privileged to know her. Her example will remain with us always. The time that we had Tiffany with us in this life was short, but she provided a full lifetime of love, service, memories and happiness to her family and friends.
Ultimately, her health challenges took their toll, and she was called home to a beautiful place with her loving Heavenly Father. She is happy and finally free from the sickness, pain, and burden that she courageously endured for so many years.
Tiffany is survived by her parents, Mark and Jeanne Neff Sampson, her siblings Heather (Chad), Melanie (Steve), Heidi, and Logan (Adriane); by her husband, Dan Brimley and their children, Alec Keone, Makenna Keone, Kalani Keone, Cole Hayes, Brennan Brimley (Emalee), Brody Brimley (Katie), Ashton Brimley (Hailey), Kaden Brimley; four grandchildren, Camden, Liam, Claire, and Graham; and many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her brother-in-law, Steve Smyth.
