Virginia “Ginny” Wallin passed away on January 10th, 2025, at the age of 88. She was born on October 7th, 1936, in Venturia, North Dakota, to Henry and Lydia Bertsch. Ginny married George P. Wallin on February 26, 1956.
Ginny was a woman of many talents and passions. She worked as a secretary at O.C. Tanner before taking on various roles within the company over the years. Outside of work, she found joy in sewing, cooking, and baking—her Christmas cookies and sourdough bread were legendary among those who knew her. A dedicated advocate for health and wellness, Ginny also served as a tai chi and exercise instructor. Above all else, she was a devoted mother and friend whose kindness touched everyone around her.
She is survived by her beloved husband, George Wallin; her son, Brad Wallin; her daughter, Nancy Zivkovich; grandchildren, Melissa Arbuckle, Danny Arbuckle, Georgann Waters, and Annie Wallin; as well as great-grandchildren Addy, Melody, Hunter, Logan, Wesley, and Evelyn. Ginny was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lydia Bertsch, and her brother, Lloyd Bertsch.
A memorial service will be held at Highland Cove Lane on Tuesday, January 14th, at 1:00 PM in the clubhouse.
