Wendall Turner Obituary

Wendall C Turner—known affectionately to those who loved him as "Dago" or simply "Old Man"—passed away on May 29, 2026, in Kearns, Utah, at the age of 68.

Wendall was born on November 15, 1957, in Dragerton, Utah, to Frank D and Betty "Myrleen" Turner. From a young age, he demonstrated a commitment to leadership and the outdoors,
earning the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout. On August 15, 1980, he married his love, Carolyn, and together they built a life and a family over nearly 46 years of marriage.

A dedicated and hardworking provider, Wendall spent 24 years as a loyal employee with Loomis. While he worked hard, he truly lived for the open air. He was a pillar of the local outdoor community, serving proudly as the President of the Salt Lake County Fish and Game Association. Whether he was tracking game on a hunt, casting a line into a quiet river, riding
horseback through the trails, or kicking up dust on his four-wheeler and motorcycle, Wendall was happiest with the sky above him. He possessed a true frontier spirit, which shone brightest
whenever he attended mountain man rendezvous, stepping back into the history and lifestyle he so greatly admired.

Above all, his greatest adventure was his family, and he took immense pride in watching it grow.

Family
Wendall is survived by his lifelong partner, Carolyn K Turner, and his three children:
• Michael (Stephanie) T.
• Corey (Jen) K.
• Kristi W.

He leaves behind a proud legacy in his 7 grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.

His siblings also survive him:
• His brother, Craig (Carolyn) Turner of West Valley City, UT
• His sister, Shelly (Van) Rasmussen of Orangeville, UT

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank D and Betty "Myrleen" Turner.

“May the trails be smooth, the rivers clear, and the campfire always warm. Rest easy, Old Man.”
