On June 3rd, 1974, a perfect bundle of joy came into our family. From the very beginning Wendy was and remains Daddy’s little girl. Her early years were spent growing up in her Willow Creek, UT neighborhood with her best friend and older sister Heidi and younger brother Steven. When she was seven, she moved to Holladay, UT where she attended Holladay Elementary, Olympus Junior High and later graduated from Olympus High School.
Wendy was very social and easily made friends with anyone lucky enough to have known her. She had a heart of gold and welcomed everyone into her circle with open arms. She had a way of making others feel important, special, accepted, and loved. Those who connected with her would soon find themselves counted among her many and growing friendships. If Wendy wasn’t with you in person, she had you on the phone. She loved to communicate with her network of friends.
Wendy spent most of her career in the travel industry with a majority of those years as a flight attendant for SkyWest Airlines. In 2019 she was awarded a platinum level customer satisfaction award being recognized by passengers for her personable service. Her travels for work and pleasure took her to many places across the country. San Diego was a favorite destination where she felt most at home strolling the boardwalk of Pacific Beach.
Wendy was fun loving and had an infectious smile. She would make good on opportunities to tell a joke or pull a prank on those around her. She kept a sense of humor throughout her many ups and downs. Inside jokes and nicknames with others was a common amusement. Wendy loved to laugh and included others in her enjoyment.
She is our warrior as we know she faced many daily battles. She is our angel because we know she was heaven sent. She is forever a part of our lives and our love for her is eternal. We look forward with anticipation to the day we will see her again.
Wendy is survived by her parents, Mary Hanes, Holladay, UT and Steve (Sheri) Kettle, Riverton, UT; siblings, Heidi Kettle (Eric Simonson) Holladay, UT, Steven (Miriam) Kettle, Millcreek, UT, Brynn (Kip) Lee, St. George, UT, David (Lindsey) Branca, South Jordan, UT, Lisa (Karter) McKinlay, Fresno, CA, Robyn (Peter) Cassell, Riverton, UT, Keri (Chris) Treasure, South Jordan, UT, Michael (Sarah) Branca, Draper, UT; and 25 nieces and nephews.
