Marion Graham Lawrence

“Grandma”

Marion Graham Lawrence passed away peacefully July 21, 2016 from natural causes. We will all miss her and her cute laugh and smile.

She was born July 19, 1922 in Salt Lake City to Hugh Boyd Graham and Lois Jarvis Graham.

Marion graduated from Granite High School and attended the University of Utah. She joined the US Marine Corps during WWII and was stationed in Washington DC. She was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in 1946 in Salt Lake City.

She married James G. Lawrence in the Salt Lake Temple in 1947. They were the parents of nine children.

Marion was a faithful and active member of the LDS Church. She was very forgiving and had unconditional love for her children and grandchildren.

After raising her children, she worked at the VA Medical Center. She worked hard all her life and never complained. She had many challenges during her life that she accepted and endured the best she could.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Athol and Robert; and her sister, Margaret. The father of her children, James G. Lawrence, preceded her death as well as her daughter, Kelly Jean.

She is survived by her children, Dennis (Jan), Michael (Patricia), Patrick, Casey (Tawny), Colleen (Malvin Dority), Kathleen, Maureen (George Fedor), and Brian (Stacey); and also her 14 grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to visit Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 9:30 to 10:30am at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, prior to graveside services and interment at 11:00am at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 1750 East 3300 South.
