Dear family, I believe I worked with Marion at thr VA Hospital in the early 1070's. It was my first job there as nurse in the then admitting office; I was very new.
Marion had a clerical job of assembling paper charts for new admissions, a very demanding job. She worked so hard, I don't believe she was appreciated.
But she was always nice and respectful, and, as a new employee to a complicated system, I recall her fondly and her determination in the face of challenge.
She was a Marine for sure.

I want to share my admiration for your Mom. She was a wonderful example of independence and generosity. I was in awe of how she valued good health and exercise, which I am sure contributed to her long life. She was always so friendly to me and though there were years and maybe at times decades between our meetings, she would greet me with warmth and treat me like a dear friend. I enjoyed knowing her, and know she will be missed.

We were so sorry to see the passing of Marion. She had a good life with her family close by. We are sorry that we can not get to the viewing but with Cherril's problems it is imposable but you have our heart felt sympathy and our love.

Thank you for your comments. When I saw your names warm memories of the old North 33rd Ward flowed and pictures of the both of you appeared. I never lived in the home at 344 but I remember entering your home several times. It was always a cheerful occasion. I know I collected Fast Offerings there, but were there other reasons?
